Terms of use

Effective date: November 1, 2026

1. Who operates VITA

VITA is operated by Brittany Healey, doing business as GlobalNomad ("VITA," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms cover the VITA website and application, including your Travelography and membership.

Contact: hello@vitatravelography.com

Mailing address: 2608 Ditmars Blvd, Astoria, NY 11105, USA.

By creating an account or purchasing a membership, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 to create a VITA account. You may record trips you took before turning 18.

Provide accurate account information, keep your login secure, and contact us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. Do not impersonate another person, misuse invitations, or use accounts to evade membership limits.

3. What VITA provides

VITA lets you create a personal Travelography, record Past, Upcoming, and Bucket List trips, view available travel statistics and badges, and share your published profile. Available features may change as the service develops. Early Access does not guarantee any particular future feature, release date, or commercial outcome.

VITA is a travel-record platform. Membership does not include travel bookings, travel insurance, or personalized travel-advisory services. Any separately purchased GlobalNomad services have their own terms.

4. Launch memberships

Founding 25 and Early Access are separate offers that may run simultaneously.

Founding 25: Invitation-only membership with the first 12 months free, limited to 25 successful claims. Invitations are personal, expire as stated in the invitation, and can be redeemed only once. A Founding membership is confirmed after successful invitation validation and redemption, subject to availability. It is not a lifetime free membership. We will not automatically charge you after the free year unless you separately agree to a paid subscription.

Early Access: Limited to 50 successful paid membership claims. The price is US$15 for the first year. This introductory price is not locked in for future years. Membership is confirmed after successful payment verification.

Claim limits apply to these launch offers. Cancellation, expiration, or account deletion does not automatically make an introductory offer available again. An existing member's renewal does not use another launch spot.

When public Early Access is full, additional signup requests join the waitlist. Joining the waitlist does not create paid access, reserve introductory pricing, or authorize a charge. We offer newly released memberships in waitlist signup order. Invitations may have claim deadlines; unclaimed offers may pass to the next person. Pricing and terms will be provided before purchase.

5. Prices, automatic renewal, and payment

Early Access costs US$15 for the first year and then automatically renews at US$60 per year unless canceled before the renewal date shown in your account. Applicable taxes, if any, are disclosed before payment. Your bank may apply currency-conversion or other fees.

By completing subscription checkout and affirmatively accepting the subscription terms, you authorize Stripe, our payment provider, to charge the payment method you select for the initial purchase and subsequent annual renewals. You can cancel future renewals at any time through Account / Membership using the online membership-management link. You may also contact hello@vitatravelography.com for assistance.

We provide confirmation of your subscription terms after purchase and email a renewal reminder 30 days before the renewal date, including the amount and cancellation instructions. We provide any additional notices or consent requests required by applicable law. A renewal reminder is a service message, separate from marketing emails.

If a payment fails, we may ask you to update your payment details and Stripe may retry the payment as disclosed through the billing process. Membership access depends on successful payment or another valid entitlement. Contact us promptly if you believe a charge is incorrect.

Any future price change applies prospectively, with advance notice and any consent required by law. These Terms do not authorize undisclosed price increases or retroactive charges.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Canceling automatic renewal stops future subscription renewals. Unless you receive a refund ending the membership or another lawful termination applies, access continues until the end of your current paid period. Cancellation does not itself delete your account or content.

You may request a full refund of your initial membership payment within 7 calendar days of that payment by emailing hello@vitatravelography.com from your account email address. An approved initial-purchase refund ends the paid membership and cancels future renewals. We confirm the consequences and processing details when handling the request.

Outside this initial refund window, we do not generally provide refunds or credits for unused time, including renewal payments, except where required by law or where we agree otherwise. Contact us promptly about an accidental renewal; we review those requests individually. This does not limit remedies for unauthorized or incorrect charges.

Mandatory consumer rights are unaffected. If your local law provides a longer withdrawal period, additional refund rights, or remedies for faulty or unavailable services, those rights take precedence over this policy. A request to begin using VITA does not by itself waive statutory rights. We will obtain any specific request or acknowledgment required for immediate service delivery.

7. Expiration and saved content

When membership expires, your Travelography becomes private and you retain view-only access to saved trips for 90 days. Adding, editing, publishing, and generating new share cards require an active membership. Account and billing support remain available.

During that period, you may resubscribe to restore membership features or email us to request a copy or deletion of your data. Resubscribing does not automatically make a previously private profile public; you control publication.

After 90 days without an active membership, we delete saved trips and uploaded photos from active storage. We send warnings 30 days and 7 days before the deletion deadline. After deletion, resubscribing will not restore deleted content. We may retain limited records for legal, accounting, security, or dispute purposes, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Residual backup copies may remain until overwritten or removed under our providers’ backup schedules, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

8. Public Travelographies

Publication is a profile-wide choice. When you publish your Travelography, all of your published trips appear publicly, including Upcoming trips. Anyone can view the public profile through its link without logging in. There is no separate per-trip privacy control at launch.

Review your profile, dates, destinations, accommodations, photos, notes, and information about companions before publication. Do not publish information you want to keep private. You can unpublish your entire Travelography to make it private.

Public content can be copied, downloaded, photographed, or shared by other people. Unpublishing or deleting information cannot recall copies others have already made. Search-engine indexing controls do not make a public link confidential or guarantee that content never appears in search results.

9. Your content and permission to operate the service

You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant VITA a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, and display that content only as reasonably needed to provide the service, follow your sharing choices, maintain backups, and meet legal obligations. Service providers may process it on our behalf for those purposes.

This permission ends when your content is deleted, subject to necessary backup removal and lawful retention. It does not give us ownership of your content. We ask separately before using your Travelography, photos, or testimonial in VITA marketing. Publishing your profile alone is not marketing permission.

Upload only content you own or have permission to use. Respect other people's privacy and obtain appropriate permission before sharing identifiable photos or private information about companions, especially children.

10. Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful, threatening, harassing, exploitative, or infringing content; expose another person's confidential information; distribute malicious software; interfere with the service; bypass privacy or payment controls; or collect other members' information through unauthorized scraping.

Report suspected abuse, privacy violations, or copyright infringement to hello@vitatravelography.com. Include the relevant link, a description, and enough information for us to investigate. We may remove content or restrict accounts to address violations, security issues, or legal obligations.

11. Account deletion and termination

Request account deletion at hello@vitatravelography.com. We may verify your identity before acting. We coordinate account deletion with cancellation of future subscription charges. Deletion is separate from eligibility for a refund.

We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, fraud, security risks, or legal requirements. Where appropriate, we provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. If VITA permanently ends service, we provide reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to request data where practicable, and address prepaid unused access as required by law. Nothing here permits us to disregard mandatory consumer remedies.

12. Service availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a reliable service, but interruptions, errors, or maintenance may occur. Keep your own copies of important information. Travel statistics and user-submitted information may contain mistakes and should not be relied on for immigration, legal, insurance, or safety decisions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without guarantees of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees, fraud, or other nonwaivable obligations. No limitation here removes remedies you are legally entitled to receive.

13. Changes, applicable law, and contact

We may update these Terms prospectively and provide notice of material changes through the service or email. Where a change requires agreement, we obtain it. Changes do not reduce rights for past events or override required subscription notices.

New York law governs these Terms to the extent permitted, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts in their home jurisdiction where applicable. Contact hello@vitatravelography.com first so we can try to resolve questions or disputes.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful.
